New Blocks and an Ending

I finally completed the last of the blocks from the November Go! Club handouts.  Here is Free Trade, which went together pretty easily, just a lot of pieces.

Then there was one called Freezer Jam, which seems to be an original pattern. It was a right pain.  Several seams had to be resewn, to get the positioning right.  Glad I am not making an entire quilt from this design.  It came out reasonably square, but about 1/4″ too small. I’ll figure something out.

That leaves me with 18 blocks, which may be enough to do something with, wall hanging or lap quilt.  I still have fabric left for several more blocks.

I wasn’t sure if anyone else would show up for the club meeting. Numbers have been dwindling since the store owner stopped selling the machines.  I couldn’t make the december meeting because I was sick.  I went anyway, arrived a little early with the idea I could leave early if no one else showed.  And I was the only one there. So quilt club is going to be cancelled due to lack of interest and the shop is going to revert back to doing custom quilting and not selling fabric and sewing supplies.  The one positive was that I got first crack at the clearance goods. Picked out a couple of prints, but nothing really caught my eye so it wasn’t a large purchase.
