Finished these today. Wasn’t sure I was going to get the last one, I was still sewing an hour before quilt club. I had all the pieces cut out, and managed to sew a couple of them wrong and had to rip a few seams. Got it together just in time to scarf down some lunch and run out the door.
The club meeting was nice. I didn’t get lost this time and wasn’t late, so I was able to sit and relax for a few minutes and chat with the other ladies. It was interesting to see the variations in color and how everyone else’s blocks came out. We also had a new person who does not have a Go Cutter, but who will be joining our monthly block making.
After show and tell, and a little talk about some new products in the shop we have a drawing for a door prize. I was the lucky winner this month! Yay me! My prize was a cute halloween potholder and a spool of high quality machine quilting thread:
The brand is Affinity and it is variegated orange, green and purple. It’s pretty cool looking. I’m thinking it has the right colors and I might be able to use it with my purple and green blocks.
