A look to the future through the past

I bought this fabric last year at a quilt show garage sale.  My best guess is it is from the late 80’s or early 90’s based on the colors. Mid 90’s at the latest.  It’s all scraps, but some pretty good sized ones.  The blue dot is 3+ yards, and the striped floral is over 4 yards, but both are 23″ wide.  No doubt they are off cuts from backing.

The blue wavy print is nearly a yard, and the two small scale florals are 1.5 yard lengths.  I may not use the light blue print, but I wanted to photograph it with the others to see how it would look.  I think the print with the cream backing matches the stripe better.

This is a future project. I’m not starting it right away, I have enough other work to finish first.

One of those new projects is a pair of potholders.  I started these yesterday, using one of the fabrics I found at the quilt show last time, and the fun variegated thread I won at quilt club.
