Back around 1996 I made this christmas quilt, with a lot of help from ladies in the R.C.Quilts usenet group. In fact, I think only two blocks on this quilt were made by myself. It came out to 6ftx6ft. I had wanted it larger but was in a hurry so I finished it off with the intention to enlarge it someday.
Today is that day.
It is made from 12″ quilt blocks alternating with 12″ squares of fabric. To enlarge the quilt I need to add a row of blocks on 3 sides, 20 in total. That’s 10 quilt blocks and 10 squares of fabric. The blocks I am pretty sure I can make using my stash of fabrics from the 90’s, but I don’t have any pieces large enough to cut 12″ squares from.
I went down to Fabric recycles and found these prints. Some are vintage, some are newer but I think they will work.
And while I was at the shop I found some luscious wool remnants for the wool quilt I haven’t worked on in years.
