I started this one a few weeks ago. Hard to believe nearly a month has passed. It’s for a charity and the usual rules apply: I can’t share dimensions or pattern instructions. I started by selecting fabrics. Solids and blenders were recommended and I had quite a few on hand from last year:
Almost all of these came from Missouri Quilt Company, either from my trip up there last summer, or by mail order.
The first week was pretty easy, star blocks and I was able to use my Accu cutter to make them perfect:
The jar of ladybugs was paper-pieced and I have to say that is not my most favorite method of quilting. I find it time consuming and wasteful of fabric.
Week two, and more paper piecing. I struggled through this. It’s tedious, and too easy to make mistakes IMO. I had to re-do the candy block. I really much prefer the simplicity of die-cutting everything.
