I started this back in November and finished piecing the top today.  It’s been a cold, dreary, snowy new year.   This was Saturday, around noon:

Needless to say I’ve been indoors a lot, and looking at quilt shop websites a little too often.  These came in the mail recently:

The brown strips have a masculine “barber shop” theme to them, and the fat quarters were a random clearance bundle deal too good to pass on.  And I may have bought these on a trip to the fabric store,

Cute baby pandas and good neutrals for future projects.

The scrap cats came out nice, I think.   I would do these again.  It’s a good project for larger scraps, since you need pieces that are 8-9″ for the body, plus a good sized piece for the head.
