I’ve been feeling a little blue. Who hasn’t?  Weather has been a little grey and rainy and we have been stuck inside.  I miss getting out to the gym, visiting friends, and shopping.  Now I’ve spent a month at home being cold, drinking way too much tea, and I’m starting to feel achy from no exercise.

I don’t need any more fabric, but I thought some fresh prints would be inspirational, so I went shopping.  I found this pack of 10″ batik cottons on Etsy, offered by  OhioQuiltFabric.   There are 20 different prints and they remind me of the beach, which is where we were a year ago today.

I also ordered this pack of autumn themed batik charm squares from StoneBarnQuilting also on Etsy.  Love the warm greens and yellows.  It is a good contrast to the blues in the other pack.

 

For now I am just enjoying looking at the different textures and colors, but I also have some ideas brewing.  It will be interesting to see what comes of it.
