New Year’s Resolutions

I’m a little late this year in making my list.  I do my resolutions a bit different than most.  This is my list of projects to work on or finish by year’s end.  Some are easy, some are more complex. Ok. Ready?

  1.  chain mail. This is an ongoing project. I’m trying to make some scale mail shoulder pieces for a costume. It makes my hands hurt.
  2.   wool quilt.  Another ongoing project.  It’s wool applique and embroidery (makes my hands hurt) and I’ve lost most of the blocks.  I do have 2 unfinished ones on hand.
  3.  the purple quilt. These are the blocks I made last year as part of the now defunct Go!Club.
  4.  foam.  I bought foam and need to cut it to fit storage cases for figurines.
  5.  mend jeans.  Pretty simple one, I just have to do it.
  6.  con costume.  I have tried and failed several years now to get a new costume made.  Any ideas?
  7.  ribbon embroidery.  This is a project kit I picked up last year. Or was it the year before?
  8. casserole cover.  Got the fabric and all the zippers. Have to modify the pattern to fit my 9×9 square pan.  Will need a good day and a lot of spoons.
  9.  16 patch & pinwheels.  My next big quilt project, queen sized. Trying to get up the nerve to cut the fabric.
  10.   christmas embroidery.  Started this several years ago.  There are only a few lines left to finish.   So why isn’t it done yet?
  11.  dolls.  I have several at various stages ranging from “bald and naked” to “just needs a base”.   Any one of these will require a series of good days and plenty of spoons.
  12. silver wire.   I’m learning a new hobby, wire wrapping and jewelry making.  I have the tools and supplies, I just need to sit down and do it.  Yeah.

This is not an exhaustive list of projects, just what I could think of this afternoon. No doubt other projects will interfere.  These are the top 12 I want to finish, or at least make progress with during 2019.
